Congressman McHenry Announces Catawba County Steering Committee
Catawba County Commissioner to Chair Steering Committee; Committee to Include State Representative, Community and Faith Leaders
Hickory,
Apr 28, 2008 -
Hickory, NC – Congressman Patrick McHenry is pleased
to announce the formation of his campaign’s Steering Committee for Catawba County. The Steering Committee
will be chaired by Lynn Lail, a Catawba County Commissioner, and will include
strong representation from the business and faith community across Catawba County.
“Congressman McHenry recognizes the
needs of citizens and works hard to develop solutions to meet those needs, " said
Commissioner Lail. “Even under intense pressure from the bureaucrats in Washington, DC,
Congressman McHenry voted ‘no’ on CAFTA because it was best for the
district. Not only does he provide wonderful constituent service in his
district offices, Congressman McHenry also fights for us in Washington, DC.
He has worked very hard to bring resources to Catawba County,
and we are blessed to have him representing us.”
“I am humbled and grateful that someone
with the leadership qualities of Commissioner Lynn Lail has agreed to lead my
Steering Committee in Catawba
County,” commented
Congressman McHenry. “The support of leaders like Commissioner Lail and
the extensive experience represented by the rest of the committee encourages me
for the fight we have against the Democrats in November.”
